The book takes us along a journey through the ages, commencing in 1846 with a water and drainage tunnel in Wellington to the current day with one of the world's largest tunnel boring machine excavating the Waterview tunnel in Auckland.
About the author: David Lees has over 25 years experience in tunnelling and underground construction. He has a strong interest in refurbishment and inspection of old tunnels and his projects have included work on the Snowy Mountain Scheme, Busby’s Bore and St James Tunnels, RailCorp and Sydney Water Tunnels.
